What this app is
Expenses is a personal tool built and operated by a single person for their own use in submitting expense claims. It is not a commercial product, and it is not offered to the public.
Data stored
Expense records (amounts, dates, categories, and notes) are stored in a Neon Postgres database. Receipt images and PDFs are stored in Cloudflare R2. Both live in accounts owned and controlled by the operator — no third party is given access.
Sign-in
Signing in uses Google solely to confirm who you are. Only your name and email address are used for this. No other Google data — contacts, files, calendar, and so on — is ever accessed.
Sharing
Claim PDFs are emailed only to the payers the user explicitly chooses to send them to. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no sharing or sale of data to any other third party.
Backups
Weekly backups, encrypted at rest, are copied to the operator's own Google Drive.
